About the Work:
This sculpture draws on imagery found in Thai culture, where warriors, protectors, and sacred figures often appear in daily life. The form suggests mythological strength held in tension between movement and stillness. Made from materials such as bows, arrows, tyres, and limbs, the figure reflects survival, adaptation, and unseen forms of resilience. Each part carries its own history and has been reassembled to honour those who endure through hardship. The work leaves space for interpretation, inviting reflection rather than resolution.

Artist’s Note:
This work was inspired by my time in Thailand, where images of warriors and protectors are part of everyday life. The figure recalls mythological strength, caught in a moment between action and stillness. Made from materials like bows, arrows, tyres, and limbs, it reflects survival, adaptation, and invisible forms of protection. Each part carries its own past and has been reassembled to honour those who endure through difficulty. I do not offer conclusions. I leave the space open for interpretation and reflection.
