Artwork Description
Journey Through Isan Sim is inspired by symbols and characters found in Hoop Taem Sim Isan, traditional mural paintings from north-eastern Thailand. Historically, these images passed on religious beliefs and teachings and helped communities live together peacefully.
The work connects Champ Sittichoke’s contemporary practice with the visual language of Isan mural painting and local cultural memory.
Care & Installation
Finished with an artist-grade oil-based protective spray. Display indoors and avoid direct natural light. For storage or transport, roll around a paper core, wrap with protective padding, and place in a cardboard box, poster tube or sealed PVC tube for international transport. Keep in a dry environment and away from high humidity.
Recommended installation: poster hanger clamping the top and bottom; stretching onto a wooden support and framing; or, for suitable sizes, framing with glass, UV-protective glass or gallery-grade clear acrylic.
