An archer stands on the wall.
Not a hero.
Just part of a system.
He looks out, waiting.
Maybe to shoot.
Maybe just to stand.

We don’t know if there was a battle.
Or if he ever moved.

Maybe he stayed with the bow
long after the world had ended.

Now, he’s a symbol —
not of war,
but of expectation.

When fortresses fall,
the walls collapse first.
The archer is the last one left.
Mute, carved out,
still ready
for something
that never came.
