The two artists reach the same question from opposite sides. In Supmanee Chaisansuk’s ceramics and paintings, colour moves first: glaze runs, pools and leaves its trace on the surface. In Champ Sittichoke’s long vertical works, form is built line by line. The exhibition invites visitors to look at the relationship between colour and form through the two artists’ different ways of working.

Supmanee Chaisansuk uses painting, ceramics and video to explore nature, architecture and environmental consciousness through fluid landscapes of melting and blending colours. The exhibition presents Melting Breath, a new series of ceramic sculptures and cups fired at 1200°C; Automatic Breath: The Inner Space, ten works in ink and water on paper shown as one set; and paintings from the series When the Frog is Drunk and Fur Scape.

Drawing on his research into historic paintings and Thai cultural traditions across Thailand, Champ Sittichoke (Sittichoke Nuamcharoen) develops each body of work around an exhibition’s concept. He holds BFA and MFA degrees in visual arts from Silpakorn University. He presents five new works from 2026. Four are paintings in natural crayon on a ground of tamarind-seed glue and din so phong (white marl), prepared using a traditional Thai method: The Great Birth, Journey Through Isan Sim, The Guardian’s Gate and Kala, Lord of Time. The fifth, The Great Birth: 13 Kandas, is a 395 cm drawing in black ink pen on paper prepared with the same ground. The works draw on Isan sim murals, known as hoop taem, traditional pha phawet narrative cloths, guardian figures and Phra Kan (Kala) in Thai art.

Alongside the exhibition, an online viewing room on Artsy is planned for 20 November to 27 December 2026, one week beyond the gallery dates. It will present selected works by both artists for audiences in Thailand and abroad to view and enquire about through Artsy.
