its noise unfamiliar, like an animal returned from extinction.
Polished. Rumbling.
People gathered —
not in awe, but in caution.

Three approached with sticks.
One tapped its headlight.
Not to break it —
but to test its reaction.
Was it a machine?
Was it a god?
Or a new kind of tribe member?

This stone doesn’t show a victory.
It shows a meeting.
