Artist's Note:
Children are drawn to fire, knowing its ancient, inevitable nature. It is in all our blood—to ignite a flame and burn to ashes. Children's shelters flicker like candles, waxy and fragile, while peaceful creatures quietly observe this spectacle. All of us—both children and adults, and these creatures—once emerged from the fire and will one day return to it.
