Taxes & Duties (VAT / GST / Import Fees)
The Charoen AArt is currently not VAT-registered in Thailand. This means we do not charge VAT on our side for any orders.
For international collectors, import VAT, customs duties, sales tax, or handling fees may be charged by your country’s customs authority or courier when the artwork arrives. These charges, if applied, are the responsibility of the recipient.
If you are unsure about potential import charges, we recommend checking with your local customs office before placing an order.
Installation
Please note that our shipping policy does not include installation services. Buyers are responsible for arranging installation upon delivery.
Domestic Shipping (Thailand)
We offer free delivery within Bangkok. For destinations outside Bangkok, we use Flash Express. Delivery charges depend on the number of items and the location, and we will inform buyers of any costs in advance.
International Destination
Our listed prices do not include delivery fees, insurance, or import duties. Shipping costs vary by country and will be calculated based on the buyer’s destination. We will provide the rate, estimated delivery timeframe, and all relevant details once the destination is confirmed.
We work with specialised fine art shipping services that ship worldwide by air. Each artwork is carefully packed with protective materials to reduce the risk of damage in transit.
For artworks with wooden elements, such as frames, certain destinations may require a fumigation certificate. This adds approximately 7–10 days to the delivery timeframe and may incur an additional charge.
For shipments to the United States and other countries with strict import regulations, certain packaging materials (e.g., untreated wood) may require fumigation or compliance with ISPM 15 standards. We work closely with our logistics partners to ensure compliance and minimise the risk of delays.
Note: Some artworks are consigned by international artists under cultural collaboration agreements. While these works are often intended for international sale, selected pieces may be available for domestic purchase. Handling procedures may vary depending on the consignor and destination.
Location-Based Pricing
We work with international platforms such as Artsy to offer our artwork to collectors worldwide. Depending on your location, prices may vary due to exchange rates, local taxes, and regional pricing practices.
Shipping costs are quoted separately and are not included in the artwork price unless stated otherwise.
Shipping & Handling for Fine Art
To ensure your artwork arrives safely, each shipment includes a handling fee that covers professional packaging, materials, and coordination with couriers. These fees reflect the care required when shipping fine art.

In some cases, smaller or less fragile items may be shipped using reliable local logistics providers for a more cost-effective option. These services remain fully trackable and secure. For delicate works, we offer a choice between standard shipping and specialised fine art couriers.
International Shipping: We ship worldwide using trusted carriers such as UPS. All shipments are trackable and insured upon request. Customs duties and import taxes may apply depending on destination regulations.
Why We Charge a Handling Fee: Fine art requires careful preparation and specialised materials. Handling fees help ensure each piece is properly packed and protected to meet international shipping standards.
