Artist's Note:
Considering the abstract nature of the Peintography, the title is encouraging viewers to explore a nuanced and complex emotional landscape. While the term ‘prosperity’ generally refers to a state of flourishing, success, or abundance, when paired with anxiety it introduces a contrasting element. This implies that even in moments of success or abundance, there might be underlying concerns or tensions. Thus, the juxtaposition of prosperity and anxiety within the title suggests a contrast between positive and negative emotions. The title is further hinting at the internal conflict or emotional struggles that can accompany success. The overwhelming, seemingly inhuman and not natural narrowness and density of the visual elements in Rudolf’s Peintography symbolizes representations of these emotions. It also signifies that appearances can be deceiving, as the Peintography, despite its prosperity-like aesthetic, evokes a sense of anxiety, challenging conventional interpretations. Rudolf’s photographic composition conveys this duality visually.
